You may have heard on the news, Michigan and other areas in the Midwest were hit with a bit of a snow storm. Yes - I am well aware that many of you are envious of the snow ....... I will admit, it is pretty. But you would probably change your mind if you had to drive in it.
To give you an idea of what it is like, I took a few pictures on my way to work this morning. That's right, even in a foot of snow you still have to work in Michigan; there is no such thing as a "Snow Day." Rest assured, I took these pictures while I was stopped at a light so my safety was not jeopardized. Look at these pics, can we say "zero visibility"???

I did tell you that this was taken during the day time, right? Looks like night to me!
I was having a bit of a panic attack at this point - a driver passed me going at least 50 as I was putzing along at 10mph :-)
As I mentioned, life goes on in Michigan, even during a winter storm. We had our holiday get-together for work today as well. Here is a picture of me with some of the folks that I work with at the community college:
